8-in-8

Jordan Childs is the man behind Blaqmass, an online shop selling premium streetwear.  Everything sold by the shop is authentically hand-made.

It is my mission is to enable entrepreneurs.

For me it is all about inspiring as many people as possible to listen to their gut and follow their intuition!!
So, I’m asking people who I think are great to answer my 8 in 8
– Eight quick fire questions, in eight minutes, not too much thinking – straight from their hearts.

Be sure to check back each week for a little more quick fire inspiration, I update them every other Friday… (why not sign up to my mailing list to make sure you don’t miss out?)

Lisa Jane Photography1. What does being an Entrepreneur mean to you?

The freedom to create something from nothing but a good idea.

2. What did you want to be when you grew up?

An astronaut, then a pilot, then a con artist. If Im honest I don’t want to work, I want to be impressed. I want to be entertained. I’m not financially driven.  If you gave me a pile of free money it wouldn’t excite me.

3. When did you decide to be self employed?

The minute I realised how little time I was spending with my newborn daughter, and how stupid the 9-5 is, like a prison sentence rather than productivity and achievement. I think it became a race to find something that worked, it took almost a year.

  1. Who inspires you?

If I’m honest I have to inspire myself, the truth is I’m jealous of anyone else’s success to an unhealthy degree, I’m an only child. I wish I could give you a more exciting answer.

  1. What is non negotiable in your schedule?

Coffee and a kiss from Nora. A (wo)man that does not have time for a good cup of coffee must be miserable indeed.

  1. What do you do to combat feelings of ARGH!?

I call out my demons and  fight my way through it. I thrive on ARGH, ARGH is my home address and middle name. I built a castle out of ARGH.

  1. What do you do that helps you to feel more AHHH!?

Argh. Nah.  Stopping an impossible task and sleeping on it – it inevitably resolves itself. Failing that, tea and cake.

  1. What would you like your epitaph to read?

“You might as well go, I ain’t getting any deader”

Where can we find you?

I’m usually buried under a pile of shirts to mail.
