Sascha Vine is the brainchild behind Whitest Hour, a bohemian boutique for the spiritually conscious, wore by the free and the fearless.
It is my mission is to enable entrepreneurs.
For me it is all about inspiring as many people as possible to listen to their gut and follow their intuition!!
So, I’m asking people who I think are great to answer my 8 in 8
– Eight quick fire questions, in eight minutes, not too much thinking – straight from their hearts.
Be sure to check back each week for a little more quick fire inspiration, I update them each Monday… (why not sign up to my mailing list to make sure you don’t miss out?)
1, 2, 3 GO!
1. What does being an Entrepreneur mean to you?
Freedom & empowerment.
2. What did you want to be when you grew up?
I’ve gone through so many phases! Literally too many to list! But I always knew I wanted to be my own boss, so it was usually anything I felt would allow me my own creative freedom.
3. When did you decide to be self employed?
I went self-employed in 2013. Before that I literally sucked at every job I worked at. I never tried, because I didn’t care. My last job before going self-employed was a blessing in disguise because I worked for a total nutcase! Nutcase, being the biggest understatement of all time! 9 long & horrendous months later I left and begun working on a project, which turned out to become Whitest Hour.
4. Who inspires you?
Anyone who can be their authentic selves & show balls (not literally though!). I really admire young woman like Tavi Genson, Lena Dunham and Sophia Amoruso. All of them are badass babes who empower other women, which I think is incredibly important.
5. What is non negotiable in your schedule?
Sleep! I need at least 8 hours. There’s no way in hell I am dragging my butt outta bed before 8am, unless it’s Christmas or I’m hopping on a plane.
6. What makes you feel ARGH!?
When any thoughts of self-doubt enter my head.
7. What do you do that helps you feel more AHHH!?
I take a walk with my dog over the South Downs. Working from my home studio I don’t always get enough fresh air, so taking some time to be out in nature to clear my head is super important. I believe nature is the best healer. Meditation is up there. I love disappearing in a movie or cuddling my cute-as-hell dog, Tae.
8. What would you like your epitaph to read?
She never gave up on the things she believed in.
