1, 2, 3 GO!
1. What does being an Entrepreneur mean to you?
Freedom, passion, creativity, contribution and purpose. Being an entrepreneur is a great way of following your heart and getting paid for it.
2. What did you want to be when you grew up?
An inventor or an explorer.
3. When did you decide to be self employed?
In 1998, I went on a 2-day personal development course. During it, I suddenly realised that I didn’t have to stay in the career I’d been in for years. I made a decision that I was going to have my own business. I lined up some contract work, quit my job a couple of weeks later, and started investing in myself.
4. Who inspires you?
Lots of people. My daughters, my friends, my clients. Some of my heroes are Frank Zappa, Bill Hicks and Robert Anton Wilson. I really admire people who embrace their authenticity and are willing to be true to themselves, no matter what the cost.
5. What is non negotiable in your schedule?
Nothing. I’m not aware of having very many rules for what I can / can’t / will / won’t do. However, sleep is very important to me, and I’m spending more time these days taking care of my physical health.
6. What do you do to combat feelings of ARGH!?
I do my best not to do battle with them. The moment I wake up to the fact that feelings of “argh” are 100% the result of “argh”-thinking, I’m on my way back to mental clarity.
7. What do you do that helps you to feel more AHHH!?
Continue deepening my understanding of the principles behind clarity. I also like walking, reading and scary movies.
8. What would you like your epitaph to read?
