A totem is a physical anchor for the parts of you that are easy to forget once life gets loud again. It sits on your shelf, your wall, your desk. It catches your eye on the days you need reminding, and it holds its meaning even when you've momentarily lost yours.
I make them as an expression. To impact and evoke emotion. Energy in motion.
Energy is always moving. These artefacts make intention, fact.
Each totem is infused with archetypal, psycho-spiritual and mythological symbolism. Nothing is decorative for decoration's sake. Every colour, form and detail is chosen the same way I choose words: alchemising often seemingly shitty stuff into treasured gold.
My art is created in ceremony, to help you anchor in the alchemy you are claiming and celebrate this adventure we call life.
The work is mostly digital, but it retains the feel of the mixed media I've been playing with as a form of self expression my whole life. Textured, layered, made by hand before touching a screen.
